Buying a CSA membership means entering into partnership with a local farm.  The member buys a subscription at the beginning of the season. This cash infusion allows the farmer to pay for seed, water, equipment and labor early in the season when farm expenses are high and farm income is low.  In return, the farm provides its members with fresh picked seasonal produce each week.  CSAs build community by reconnecting its members to the seasons and by fostering relationships between members and the people who grow their food.

Cold Springs Farm CSA is a market-style CSA, in other words, it's like being part of a super cool, private farmers market.  Members arrive at the CSA location and select their produce.  Full share members select 10 different fruits and veggie selections, and half share members select 5.  There is generally 15-20 different selections to choose from.  Amounts vary from week to week, and as members get to choose their produce, it's impossible to predict how many pounds each share will weigh.

There are generally 4 sessions, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall.  Each session is 8 weeks long.  There are currently 4 CSA drop locations:  4th Street in Fort Worth, Saturdays; the Dallas Farmers Market on Sundays; Arborlawn Methodist Student Center, Fort Worth and Redenta's Garden Store in Arlington on Mondays.  If you are interested in setting up a CSA in your neighborhood or at your business, please contact us.  Sessions are purchased ideally 4 weeks before the session starts.

If a member misses a drop, they are allowed to make it up as long as they have notified us before the drop.  We don't want you to miss out on any of the delicious, nutritious produce!
